I Promise Someone Looks Up to You

As I continue on this crazy journey called life, I’ve come to realize the “popular” and “cool” crowd will always be there. It’s definitely not as prevalent as you find yourself and your tribe later in life. But it is still there.

I can name a few people off the top of my head that I think are the coolest people ever. Why?

  • They seem to have it all together.
  • They have confidence and swagger.
  • Everyone has nice things to say about them.
  • They just radiate amazingness.

Again, there are moms, friends, women who intimidate me and just wow me honestly. I just wish I could be a part of their inner circle and you want to know what? If I told them that they would be like why? They wouldn’t see themselves as I see them with all their ducks in a row and confident as all get out. First of all, because we as women don’t quite believe any of that about ourselves. We just tend to be on the more conservative side of confidence. Second, no one and I mean NO ONE has their stuff together. If they do, they are kidding you.

But as I was thinking about this topic, I wondered how many women would say this about me? Think I am that person and I’m over here, just making it up as I go, catching whatever ducks and a random chicken I can to get them in a row and having confidence one minute and none the next. Isn’t that crazy how we see ourselves versus someone on the outside?

So I want you to remember this. I promise, even if you don’t know it, someone looks up to you. They think:

  • You are amazing.
  • You have all your stuff together.
  • You are an inspiration to others.
  • You have so much confidence.

Next time you might have that negative Nancy in your mind, just remember you are wonderful and there are people out there who truly believe that, even if they don’t say it.

I’m Amber

Welcome to Caring for Calves and Kids. I’m a 5th generation dairy farmer farming with my parents and husband while trying to raise 3 kids. Life is crazy, messy and so much fun! It’s hard to be a mom and sometimes even harder when you farm. So to ensure no one else feels alone I’m sharing my stories. Enjoy!
