Just Let Them

Just Let Them

I’ve always heard the older you get the more you realize what’s important in life and less about what people think. After 30+ years in this world I can confirm this is something that does happen, but not without a lot of work accepting that not everyone will like you.

A recent Facebook Reel gave me a tactic to help keep this progress moving forward. The woman said “Let them.”

She went on that if people talk about you behind your back. Let them.

If people want to judge you. Let them.

If people don’t like you. Let them.

So now as I find myself worrying about what people think, worrying about what happens if I do this – what would people say if I became a stay at home mom or started my own business? What would people say if I became a full time farmer?

Let them.

Let them talk. They will either way. Let them think what they want. They aren’t the ones paying your bills, caring for your family, running your business, living your life. Do what is going to make you happy. Do what helps the things that are important in your life – your friends, your family.

I realize it’s very hard for some like me to not care what others think, to not worry about how what someone else does will affect you, but you need to let them do what they are going to do. You just go on and live your best life prioritizing whatever it is that is important you!

I’m Amber

Welcome to Caring for Calves and Kids. I’m a 5th generation dairy farmer farming with my parents and husband while trying to raise 3 kids. Life is crazy, messy and so much fun! It’s hard to be a mom and sometimes even harder when you farm. So to ensure no one else feels alone I’m sharing my stories. Enjoy!
